Ruth Taber, MSW, received her Master’s in Social Work in 2014 from Monmouth University in Long Branch, NJ with a concentration in Clinical Practice with Children and Families. She was approved as a supervisee in social work by the Virginia Board of Social Work in 2017 and joined Harmony Psychotherapy Center in December 2018. Working toward her LCSW licensure, she practices under the clinical supervision of Wendy Radding, LCSW, RPT, CATP. Ruth works with clients of all ages. Her professional experience includes working with older adults in the nursing and rehabilitation setting, as well as elementary aged students within the Prince William County school system. Her special interests include ADHD, anxiety, depression, and grief/loss. Interventions used include mindfulness, play therapy, and social skills training. Ruth’s approach is client-centered and solution-focused. She believes strongly in meeting the clients where they are and together setting realistic goals in order to achieve positive well-being. Ruth is also a member of the National Association of Social Workers.
