Where are you located?

Our address is 4000 Genesee Place, Suite 109, in Woodbridge. We are near the County Center development, about a block from Ruby Tuesday’s.

Is your office accessible?

Yes.

How long is a typical session?

The first session is an assessment and lasts up to an hour. After that, sessions last 45 minutes to an hour.

How do I get started?

Reach out to us through the form at the bottom of the page, by phone, or by email. We will contact you and set a time for a free phone consultation. Then, after filling out our paperwork, we will set up a first in-person or virtual appointment.

What is the fee?

Licensed clinicians charge $165 per hour or $125 for 45 minutes. Unlicensed clinicians charge $125 per hour, with 45-minute sessions costing $100.

Do you accept insurance?

We currently accept new clients with either Blue Cross Blue Shield or Medicare. We file the insurance, and you pay a co-pay set by your insurance plan.

What age range do you work with?

We have worked with people of many ages, from pre-school to older adults.

Are you LGBTQIA friendly?

YES. We are committed to providing staunch support to this community.

What are some other specialties?

Including but not limited to, we work with children’s issues and parenting, ADHD, Anxiety, Autism Spectrum disorders, OCD, trauma, eating disorders, low self-esteem, mood disorders, grief and loss, recovery from narcissistic relationships, gender transitions, young adult issues, geriatric issues, and chronic health conditions.

Do I have to commit to years and years of treatment?

While there are folks who agree to stay in therapy for many years, most people stay for a much shorter period. Some choose to return later and continue. There is no one way to approach your treatment.

What is Play Therapy?

Play is children’s language; therefore, it is the best treatment method. Children use play to express their inner worlds, learn valuable skills, and receive support.

What are some other methods you use?

We use art therapy, poetry therapy, ERP, bibliotherapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and more.

Do you offer telehealth?

Yes, we do. For your convenience, we can arrange telehealth throughout Virginia. We hope to expand to other states soon.

Do I have to lie on a couch?

No. Although our couches are comfortable.

Do I have to take medicine?

While some people find benefits from medicines, which are sometimes recommended, they are not required.
